Bluestone understands that suspected or confirmed Covid-19 contamination in a building requires prompt attention. For that reason, we typically respond within 1 hour to client service requests, and can frequently provide same-day, detailed cost estimates. After receiving an approval to proceed, we will schedule the disinfection services for any time that best meets our client’s needs—including overnight hours.
Bluestone’s Covid-19 Disinfection Services
Bluestone offers 3 tiers of COVID-19 disinfection services. Each tier is designed to address the specific needs and circumstances of our clients.
Tier I Disinfection Services
Tier I projects are preventative disinfection projects, which are appropriate for areas that have not been utilized by people suspected or confirmed to be infected with the COVID-19 virus.
The scope of work for Tier I projects is limited to disinfection of high-touch surfaces. (Tier I does not include the Tier II step of pre-cleaning high-touch surfaces with soap and water.)
The scope of work includes:
- Installing warning signs at the entrances to the work areas.
- Bagging paperwork and miscellaneous small items (e.g. paperclips) on tables and desks in clear plastic bags.
- Pre-cleaning high touch surfaces with a dry microfiber towel.
- Spraying the high touch surfaces with an EPA-registered disinfectant.
- Wiping down sensitive equipment (e.g. computer keyboards) with disinfectant.
- Using a screen cleaner solution to wipe down media screens.
- Allowing a 10-minute setting time for the disinfectant to be fully effective.
- Misting the area with disinfectant.
- Wiping down high touch surfaces after the 10-minute disinfectant setting time.
- HEPA vacuuming and/or mopping floors.
Tier II Disinfection Services
A Tier II approach is appropriate when the client wants a more extensive cleaning and disinfection of surfaces and/or when a person suspected or confirmed to be ill with COVID-19 has passed through a space but has not utilized the space extensively.
The scope of work includes:
- Tier II projects include the Tier I scope of work and adds pre-cleaning high touch surfaces with soap and water prior to applying the EPA-registered disinfectant.
Tier III Cleaning and Disinfection Services
Tier III is appropriate when the client wants the most extensive cleaning and disinfection and/or when a person suspected or confirmed to be ill with COVID-19 has used the area extensively, such as a living space.
Tier III is also appropriate for small spaces that were utilized by people suspected or confirmed to be ill with COVID-19, such as elevators.
The scope of work includes:
- Tier III projects include all the Tier II steps and but increases the number of surfaces. Tier III includes cleaning and disinfecting ALL surfaces below the 9 ft. level, not just high-touch surfaces.
The Tier III scope of work also includes bagging clothing, bedding, and other textiles as one of the first steps of the project. The bags of clothing and other textiles can either be disposed of or left in the unit for laundering by the resident. We recommend that the bagged clothing and textiles remain sealed in the bags for at least 14 days.
